11th at Sailing Championsleague final

Amazing high-level racing in Vilamoura!

Unfortunately, a few avoidable mistakes cost us some valuable points during the first two days. On the third day, however, everything came together and we scored four bullets in a row in conditions that suited us perfectly: a stable 12–13 knot sea breeze. And by stable, I mean really stable — the maximum wind shift was only about 5 degrees. Those are not the conditions we are used to back home in Switzerland, but they are conditions in which we know we are exceptionally strong.

It felt incredible to prove to ourselves that we can beat the best teams in the world.

Sadly, the final day did not go our way. We finished with a 7th and a 6th place, which ultimately cost us a spot in the Final Four. The points were unbelievably close throughout the fleet. Before the last race, any of the top nine teams could theoretically still qualify for the Final Four.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to compete in Vilamoura and gain this experience. We learned a tremendous amount, and we are confident that this regatta will make us stronger going forward.
